Kellie and Blair’s wedding was an elegant yet laid-back affair.  The wedding ceremony took place on the picturesque lawn of Old Government House on a day with not a cloud in the sky.  After an intimate ceremony, we strolled around Old Government House and had a casual walk through the Botanical Gardens, stopping occasionally to do photos on our way to the reception which was held at Alchemy Restaurant + Bar, which had fanastic food, lovely people and a stunning location!

Kellie wore a beautiful Mariana Hardwick gown and the bridesmaids wore Rachel Gilbert.

Blair wore a M.J Bale suit and the Groomsmen wore Country Road Suits from Strictly Formal.

The Celebrant was  Kylie Bartholomew who provided a unique and personal ceremony.

The beautiful flowers were by Pink and Purple Petals in Paddington.

Chloe and Michael were absolute gems to work with (read on to understand the pun!).  Chloe was the easiest going bride and Michael was a true Gentleman.  Chloe wore an amazing gown by Paddington Weddings/Bertossi Brides .  This gown was actually named after Chloe as she was the first Bride who chose this design!  I love that she also wore perfume called Chloe.  The wedding ceremony took place in the Rotunda at New Farm Park and was followed by a reception at the groovy Foxy Bean at Woolloongabba.  One of the highlights of the reception was the “Active” Volcano cake, which was very appropriate as both Chloe and Michael are Geologists.  The volcano cake was made by Carry’s Cakes.  They even had edible chocolate rocks as their Bonbonniere and we utilized the rocky walls at Kangaroo Point for some photos as well.  Oh, and there was this game on that night, called the NRL grand final or something…. The solution to avoid having guests ‘mysteriously’ disappearing or heads down in phones was to have a screen showing the game.   It added a certain excitement to a portion of the evening for many who follow the sport, especially as it was two QLD teams in the final.  The fantastic Echelon Grey were musicians for the evening.ChloeMichael001

How could I not enjoy photographing Rissa & Ben’s wedding? Stradbroke is one of my most favourite places on earth! It is breathtakingly beautiful and has a certain relaxed Island sense of charm about it.

Rissa & Ben made sure their wedding was unique and special, with only their closest and dearest friends and family attending. Their intimate ceremony on the beach was full of laughter and so very them! Their bridal party were fun to work with and they even embraced their sense of adventure traversing over an escarpment to get down to the beach. A true testament of the friendship they have amongst one another. So lovely!

Katelyn and Alex’s wedding was certainly a memorable event! It was a day filled with so much fun and happiness and it was certainly unique. The ceremony took place at the lovely Holy Trinity, Fortitude Valley, and was followed by a reception at a private residence which was styled as a beautiful enchanted wonderland.  Absolutely stunning, and it really did create a lovely ambiance. Flowers were by the amazing Kate Dawes Floral Design.  Katelyn, the Bridesmaids and the flower girls all wore dresses in shades of pink by Darb Bridal Couture.  Catering on the night was done by the fabulous Cuisine on Cue.  Cake was by Gillian Bell. The unique feather bow ties are by Brackish Bow Ties.

Emily and David’s wedding was a lovely day for me to capture. It was elegant and sophisticated yet also very relaxed.  These two are so easy going, I really felt honoured to capture their day.  I adored Emily’s Anna Campbell dress, I just love how it is so very elegant yet made for comfort as well.  David looked rather spiffy in his Cloakroom suit.  St Mary’s is one of Brisbane’s oldest Churches.  It has so much character and I always enjoy shooting there.  After the ceremony, the bridal party casually enjoyed canapés and drinks at Moo Moo.  This was such a nice break for them before we continued onto The Botanical Gardens for photos and finishing at the stunning Customs House for a fantastic night of celebrating.

The ceremony was held in the lovely St Mary’s Church, Kangaroo Point
